linux, firefox, and duck duck go search engine---i want to stop picture in a picture. include every instruction like if i am to use the address bar, where do i find that?

Cannot reach extensions search from Firefox about:addons page. I keep getting the following when I search for any extension.

Firefox lately seems to create problems every time it is updated. I am really leaning towards making MSEdge my default browser because I am tired of these problems cropping up at each major update. I spent several hours this morning making sure my bookmarks and my saved logins and passwords were up to date with what I have in Firefox plus making sure my privacy and security were at it's tightest and strongest there. Major updates for Firefox use to go smoothly and seamlessly but that is now questionable.

I share my Sync account across 1 Android + 3 desktop devices (Win 10 or 11). So far no problems. A few days ago all the devices started dropping out of Sync.

I would say this all started with the Android device (v.153), which seems to have logged out of the account on its own. After reconnecting it, all the desktop devices went nuts...

1) desktop machines will need to reconnect to Mozilla account every time FF is launched 2) about:logins is always empty, even after logging back in and completing a sync routine 3) even when it states "Account disconnected" - "Sync is off", they will still receive tabs sent from the Android device; they can't send tabs as they won't see the other devices. Also, even while disconnected, they were able to add a new bookmark to the account. So, account is not actually fully disconnected... only some parts of Sync are.

Another symptom. Account's Connected Services list is clean and up to date (see images). Account recognizes new logins as already known hardware and avoids doubling them. But in Sync there's a mess of instances... all new attempts are seen as a new device. Many of these are of course dead links, as the latest login overwrites previous ones.

This happened while desktops were updating to v.154, but I wouldn't say it's related to that, as two of those machines also run a different Mozilla account on a second profile, and so far that account is not misbehaving.

The Android device also got disconnected a few more times, but now it seems more stable than its siblings, and the passwords are still accessible (as as you can see in the pics, it's not showing as a doubled Sync device).

I didn't try signing off all devices because I'm worried I won't be able to get back in... anyway, manually signing off a single one didn't change anything.

It seems to me this is a server-side issue. Is there a way to "refresh" the account without losing all data? Thank you

Tracking protection don't allow me the site. I,m allready switch to custom config and disable all settings. I also set all tracking options to false via about:config. But it still working! How to completely turn it off!

Desktop picture of my dog goes to black after Firefox updates as I use the mouse to navigate the files on the desktop. Tired of going in and trying to get my picture back.

I am searching through the Find more Themes page. They either don't open or I get a An unexpected error occurred when trying to open them. I've updated to the current version, and still not working.

Also I have Grammarly for Firefox added, for my word spell checker, but it keeps using the windows checker. How do I fix that.

This is just a gripe. I have used your browser for years and I used to love it more than any other browsers. However, lately it is being updated (what seems like every week or more) all the time. Updates I don't mind but do you have to screw up my saved passwords and toolbars and settings. It also seems to never want to close. 75% of the time when I open my laptop and click on Firefox it tells me it's already open when I know I closed it. If all of this continues I will be looking for another browser.

Just had occasion to use the word Backpfeifengesicht. Out of curiosity, I highlighted, right-clicked, and chose "Translate to English". Hilarious result: "Baking pipe face".

(The correct answer is "punch-me face".)

Translate is often quite good, but I think it would be nice to be able to report the occasional mistake. So, as I asked in the subject linke: is there a central place to do this?

I've been using Firefox for so many years I don't use any other browser unless a site doesn't work,then I use 'Opera' (very infrequent). I updated Firefox to v154.0 and now searching does not work properly.

I used to be able to enter a question into the bar/box where one would normally view any given URL, select return, and Firefox would bring up Yahoo! search results.

With this update, that doesn't work. When I select return the URL that had been in the space just reappears. If I visit the Yahoo! main page and try to use the search box with the magnifying/eye-glass, it launches a blank tab.

I'm forced to use the AI icon to get a search result. I do NOT want to use that feature.

Also, with Firefox 154.0 I cannot remove other search engines. With every update I remove Google, Bing, Duck-Duck-Go, Wiki, Amazon, etc. because I ONLY want one search engine, Yahoo!

I checked the Yahoo!Search Extension and made sure all the "allow" buttons needed were selected.

I want to remove the other search engines from the Settings tab, and I would like to have the same behavior prior to the update: simply type my question or text into the main html bar/box and select return, and get results.

I see that other had an issue starting with version 142 or so that was similar, but I've not had this issue until two days ago.

Any help is appreciated. And yes I delete my cache etc. regularly. I'm on Mac OS 15.7.7 and again, it has never been a problem until updating Firefox to v154.

For the last five days I've been unable to login to a particular site unless I clear the cache EVERY time I want to login. It's a site I've been using for many years but now I just get a message saying 'An error has occurred. Please try again later.' When I try later, the error still exists. I don't get this error message when using an alternative browser, but I don't want to do that. It's also the only site I'm having issues with ....................... which is strange. The site in question says that I'm the only one facing this problem. Any thoughts?

I had automatic updates turned on for Firefox on my older Windows 10 Thinkpad. Update 154 (64 bit) has made my machine fail to connect, run very slowly on loading sites and caused mailchimp to malfunction. I have already spent hours trying to undo all the damage, but the sites are still loading very slowly. Can an update be reversed easily? Do I just need to change some settings? I have cleared cache and site data several times over, set tracking to standard and added mailchimp to ublock exceptions. What else can I try?

4-5 months ago the right click option to delete SEARCH history disappeared and then was returned to users after numerous complaints. Now, with the release of V154, not only is the right click to delete search history gone once again, the Search History box is also gone, thereby leaving just the normal address box - which also does not include the right click to delete SEARCH history.

Why do in multiple steps what we used to be able to do in ONE?

Running Windows 11, and Plex Media Server, version 1.43.3.10861 x64. Firefox just updated to version 154.0. Now I loose access to the Plex server at random intervals, and have to reboot everything to get it back. This sometimes happens in the middle of a show or movie. Help.

I am on the VistaPrint website and have an Ai support window open that I can't close because the entire window is not visible. I need the top of the window available to close it out and unfortunately the window blocks me from doing anything. I have backed out, logged back in and the window is still present. I contacted Vistaprint and they said it was a firefox issue and to try Chrome. I used Chrome and they are correct, I can access everything, went back to firefox and tried but the window is still present, if the window size could be reduced, I could access the top to close it. Please help.
